Oiselle New KC Knickers in Black Reflective Paintbrush Review
If you think you need this tight, you’re right you need this tight. If you think you don’t need this tight, you’re wrong you need this tight!
Let me start off by saying that I’m not a morning runner. Occasionally I’ll roll out of bed to run before the sun comes up to run but I don’t make a habit of it. Usually, if I’m out running in the dark it’s because I’ve miscalculated the time the sun goes down.
For this reason I’ve never really been drawn to reflective print running items. I think they’re nice to have but since I don’t make a habit of running in the dark I don’t invest in them.
The KC Knicker in Black Reflective Paintbrush is different though. The print is very subtle.
Here the tights are show in natural light with no flash. The paintbrush print is more noticeable IRL. Here they look completely black but they are not. I think that the pictures on Oiselle’s website make the print appear brighter than it is IRL. It’s a tricky print to capture a picture of.
Now here’s one with the flash on!
I wore these running the other morning (yes I actually ran in the morning). Every time a car went past I’d look down to check the effect on the tights.
The fit is TTS. I’m a 4 in Oiselle right not and I found the 4 to fit perfectly. They don’t seem to be see through on me either. The fabric is Plya compression which is 85% polyester and 15% spandex. I’m 4’11” and the they hit about two inches below my knee. The right hip has a larger sized pocket zip pocket as well. I don’t know if it’s suitable for a phone, I only ever carry a house or car key.
At $68 I think the KC Knicker in Black Reflective Paintbrush is worth every penny. You get the biggest reflective bang for your buck with these knickers and they’re subtle enough to wear all hours of the day.
A few years ago I dropped $120 for a pair of Nike reflective pants. I thought they looked so bad ass. They had a horizontal painted stripe effect. Unfortunately after my first run in them the “paint” cracked and that was only from running in them. I spent $120 for a pair of reflective tights that fell apart as soon as I did the thing I purchased them for, which is run.
These knickers put those tights to shame. I really, really hope they come out in a full tight version as well this winter. Snag them up before they’re gone. I’m seriously considering getting another pair in Curfew I love them so much.
