I first tested out my Oofos after a 13.1 mile training run. I hadn’t run that distance in over six months so my legs were really feeling it afterward. I wore my Oofos that night when I went out and they were like walking on clouds. I have issues with my calves being sore and tight post long run and these shoes felt so good to walk in. I also wore them to the doctors the next day. When it comes to run recovery I have zero shame.
So what makes Oofos so great? For starters they absorb shock. After putting your body through a pounding on your run you need to give it a break so that it can heal and recover. Oofos also have a patented footbed that offers arch support. This is my favorite feature. Post run wearing these feels like rolling a tennis ball gently under my arches.
Recently I took my Oofos along to change into post trail run. I went into the gas station like this to get coffee! Like I said earlier my run recovery game has no shame!
